Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to providing a website that is usable by people with a wide range of abilities and technologies.

Our commitment

The Homebuyer Rewards Program is committed to providing a website that can be used by people with a wide range of abilities, devices, browsers, and assistive technologies. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing operational responsibility rather than a one-time certification.

Accessibility features

  • Keyboard-accessible navigation and visible focus indicators
  • A skip link to bypass repeated navigation
  • Semantic headings, landmarks, labels, and form instructions
  • Responsive layouts that adapt to smaller screens and text enlargement
  • Color choices designed for readable contrast
  • Reduced-motion support for users who request it
  • Plain-language error and success messages on website forms
  • No reliance on color alone to communicate required information

Content editing responsibility

Accessibility can be affected by new images, videos, colors, plugins, documents, and page edits. Website administrators should provide meaningful alternative text for informative images, captions or transcripts for relevant multimedia, descriptive link text, properly ordered headings, accessible documents, and sufficient color contrast when publishing new content.

Third-party content

Some listing websites, maps, embedded services, calculators, security challenges, or other third-party tools may be outside the program’s direct control. We encourage third-party providers to maintain accessible services and will seek practical alternatives when a barrier is identified.

Report a barrier

If you have difficulty using any page, calculator, form, or document, contact us through the Contact page. Describe the page, the task you were attempting, the technology or browser used when relevant, and the format or accommodation that would help. We will make a reasonable effort to provide the information or service through an accessible method.

Ongoing improvement

The website should be reviewed after major design, content, and plugin changes. Automated testing can identify some issues, but human keyboard, screen-reader, zoom, mobile, and form testing remain important.
